Exhibit

Luke Skywalker Lightsaber

Some slides in the original post were videos; still frames are shown here.

This exhibit was posted 2 times; photos from every post are combined here.

This is the lightsaber Luke Skywalker built after the first lightsaber he was using (see Exhibit 1.1) was lost in Episode 5. It takes design cues from the thin-neck design of his master Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber (see Exhibit 2.1), and is first seen in Episode 6 Return of the Jedi.

This version of the Luke Skywalker lightsaber, made by @soloshold, is known as the V2, and is the one seen hanging on Luke’s belt for most of the film. This Exhibit has an intricate, one-of-a-kind custom-machined brass chassis designed and built by HARP Lightsabers (@by_harp), featuring CFX for sound and light, and LED accents. Especially rare is an open-and-close hatch that reveals a rotating Kyber crystal chamber.
