Saber - Starfall Eternal Champion

Inspired by the Eternal Champion lightsaber and staff from The Old Republic, this Exhibit features a pair of sabers that can be coupled to form a staff. Hand-built by @starfall_sabers , the lightsabers feature a unique angled etched shroud with an Old Republic motif. The crown and claws around the emitter give the saber a menacing but regal look. The saber features brass and copper accents throughout to convey the style of the Old Republic.

This Exhibit was expertly installed by @cantinadesigns with a custom chassis design featuring dual rows of LEDs, a removable battery set-up, 28mm speakers and Proffieboard for neopixel light and sound. Each saber has exactly 100 LEDs, the perfect number symbolising an Eternal Champion.

Most strikingly, the hilt and chassis were designed in an integrated fashion, seen most clearly at the grip. The grip features shine-through copper plating on both sides showcasing twin rows of LEDs beneath on one side and a double crystal chamber on the other, with a quartz crystal and marble. LEDs, crystal and marble feature independent controls allowing each to display different colours based on the font selection.

When coupled as a staff, the saber continues to provide punchy sound through the vented pommel design. Finally, the oversized control box and plate give the saber the added heft deserving of a true championship winner.
