Canon-Y Scrapflex
Some slides in the original post were videos; still frames are shown here.
Some of the most iconic designs from the original trilogy include the Graflex and the thin-neck of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker’s lightsabers. Bringing these two together to a custom saber, the Canon-Y Scrapflex used parts from both a Graflex flash tube and a Canon camera to create a new design that incorporates the best of both worlds.
In this Exhibit made by @dembekrelics and installed by @solosabersllc, the idea is brought to life as a well-worn saber, represented by the heat-blu seen on the emitter and light weathering across the hilt. In this idealised design, the lightsaber starts off with the emitter and red button of the classic Graflex, before the surprise of the thin-neck Canon-Y clamp, then going back to the signature bubble strip seen in the ANH version of the Graflex then finally incorporating the bottom and pommel of the iconic Luke and Obi-wan saber design. Truly a work of art!
