Heirloom Class

Saber of Numenor

This exhibit was posted 2 times; photos from every post are combined here.

This Heirloom Class Exhibit is one of the most beautiful hilts ever to be in the museum collection. It’s so astounding that our reveal will be divided into two parts. The first part looks at the beautifully customised work by Vaults of Valhalla in a LOTR theme on the base saber, the iconic Flagship from KR Sabers.

On the shrouds, we see some of the most difficult etching work there is: thin, deep lines on aluminium. The shrouds feature the White Tree of Gondor and the front face of the Crown of Numenor, backed by the riddle of Strider in Elvish Quenya. The emitter section sports an Evenstar on both sides, with some light flourishes around the sides and weathering on the smallest inner ring and the upper and lower surrounding shroud collar. The switch collar features lines from the riddle of Strider: “From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

The grip section features herringbone stitching in genuine navy suede using navy waxed cotton thread, and 2 brass olives with the One Ring lettering etched into them. The suede features a genuine twisted-pattern sterling silver wire wrap, with the remainder used to line the top shroud band. The pommel features a very light etching of a Gondorian banner on the outer faces.

Now all of that is just the external work! Stay tuned for equally epic internals by the one and only HARP Lightsabers.

Part 2 of our reveal of this epic Heirloom Class Exhibit: the Saber of Numenor. In this part, we’ll take a closer look at the custom work by HARP Lightsabers. Built as a full custom metal chassis with an OLED screen, LED accents and a rotating crystal chamber, the chassis is an equal match for the beautiful externals of the hilt.

Even more special are the extra modifications to the emitter to create a hinged shroud that can be opened to reveal the crystal blade plug within. Installed with CFX for Neopixel light and sound, the saber exudes the power of Numenor.
