ExhibitBeacon Of Truth and Light
Some slides in the original post were videos; still frames are shown here.
Lightsabers make perfect works of art and decorative pieces to commemorate special events or themes. This Exhibit features a brass lightsaber made to commemorate the 135th anniversary of the Anglo-Chinese School. The two shrouds feature an underlying multi-layered acid etch of the ACS anthem, representing the firm foundations of the ACS spirit. The school crest is etched on top together with the motto “The Best Is Yet To Be” and hand-painted in enamel with ACS colours. The rings are etched with the founding date 1 March 1886 and the name of the lightsaber, “Beacon Of Truth And Light”, adorns the second ring. The words Anglo-Chinese School are deeply etched into the innermost ring.
Between the shrouds on one side is the face of a clock tower, surrounded by a brick design reminiscent of the iconic old clock tower. On the other side is a simple cross radiating light, referencing the mission status of the school. The handle is hand-stitched blue goatskin leather with contrasting red thread. Inside the lightsaber is an 18k gold chassis housing a quartz Kyber crystal, with light and sound effects powered by the latest soundboard. The lightsaber comes with all the usual Star Wars lightsaber themes, effects and colours, as well as some extras for good measure, including, of course, the ACS school anthem.
