The Darksaber

The only known saber of its kind, the Darksaber is unique as much for its ebony blade as for the story behind it. Created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi, a thousand years before the Clone Wars, it was kept at the Jedi Temple before being reclaimed by House Vizsla and eventually landing in the hands of Pre Vizsla during The Clone Wars. It was later owned by notable characters including Darth Maul, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan and, in the current Mandalorian series, Moff Gideon.

This Exhibit, built by Kaizen Sabers, is based on the Mandalorian version of the Darksaber. The hilt is etched and heavily weathered, representing the battles the saber has been through. The hilt features a hidden crystal chamber, and the Proffie 2.2 board provides light and sound with multiple Darksaber fonts. It also powers the blade, handcrafted by Ripper Blades, which glows menacingly beneath the ebony.
